Lalhriatpuii is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics, Mizoram University. She is the first Mizo woman to be awarded a Ph.D. in Economics. She has participated in a number of workshops/ conferences. She has written many seminar papers and research reports on gender inequality, family welfare and on the nature and extent of women work participation in India.
