About Author :

Mohammad Shafi is Professor of Geography in the Aligarh Muslim University. He is a Geographer of great eminence and has been presiding over International Geographical Conferences and Commission meetings in different parts of the world. He has several books and scores of articles to his credit. Currently he is Vice President of the International Geographical Union.

Mehdi Raza is Professor and Chairman of the Department of Geography, Aligarh Muslim University. He is the author and editor of several books in Geography and his writings on environmental Pollution, tribal geography have been rated high by scholars. Professor Raza has been a National Lecturer in Geography during the session 1985-86 and has also visited several countries in connection with geographical research.
