About the Book :

"Change is the only constant". This true of the present as well as future. Change has always been there. But the elements of speed and surprise that now characterize the changes create more chaos. An institution has to learn to face chaos, tame chaos and "Thrive on chaos". This is possible only when an institution is flexible, adaptive and resilient by being highly innovative. Hence innovation turns out to be a key-result area. Survival of an enterprise as a socially meaningful and economically prosperous unit rests on its innovative ability. Get innovative or get dead is the grim advise of the pundits of management to industrial enterprises in the present fast changing turbulent business environment. Thus managing innovation becomes the priority concern and a guiding force for any industrial enterprise. To make a success of innovation, clear-cut understanding of the basics of "managing innovation" is necessary. The present book provides the basic inputs in the form of concepts and tasks relevant to managing innovation effectively.
