About the Book :

This first book for open information systems development from a practical standpoint. This book provides a thorough and systematic analysis of approaches to information system design. This analysis gives system developers the necessary background to develop open information systems. It identifies the logical components of an open-system, and provides for their integration in the form of a conceptual architecture. The study proposes a new conceptual architecture called an Open Intelligent Information Systems (OIIS) architecture for the design of Open Intelligent Information Systems. The development of the OIIS architecture in this work has major implications for the future development of intelligent systems apart from providing new directions for further research.
