About Author :
Kamta Prasad, is Chairman, Board of Management, Institute for Resource Management and Economic Development, Delhi. A former President of the Indian Economic Association he has been an Adviser to the International Economic Association he has been an Adviser to the International Economic Association and a Consultant to ADB and FAO. Formerly Professor of Economics at IIPA, New Delhi and IIT, Kanpur, he has held several distinguished positions in the Government of India like Chairman, Agricultural Prices Commission and Minimum Wages Advisory Board and Member, National Flood commission and working Group of National Commission for Integrated Development of Water Resources Plan. He is also the Chairman of Committee on Governance Structure for India Water Partnership. Dr. Prasad is author of books, reports and research papers on development aspects.
Shri Radhey Shyam Goel has over 25 years professional experience in assessment and monitoring of environmental impacts, preparation and appraisal of project reports of major and medium river valley projects. Dr. Goel has participated in several Doordarshan and All India Radio talks, authored over hundred technical articles and edited three books on environmental aspects of river valley projects. He has been Member Secretary/ Convenor of several High Level National Committees. Presently he is Members Secretary of National Environmental Monitoring Committee for River Valley Project and Director, Environmental Management & Cost Appraisal, Central Water Commission, Govt. of India.
