About Author :

B.S. Hansra, Assistant Director General (Agri. Extn.) at the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi had been Professor and Head; Department of Extension Education, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana (Punjab). He taught UG and PG courses in extension education at P.A.U., Ludhiana for more than two decades and guided extension. programmes of the University. He has authored ten books and more than 180 research and popular papers. He has been awarded National Fellow Award during 1995 by the Indian Society of Extension Education. He is closely associated with many national and international professional societies.

G. Perumal, Director of Extension Education (Rtd.), did his Ph. D. degree in Agricultural Extension from IARI, New Delhi 1975. He served in various capacities in the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, involving in Teaching, Research and Extension for almost four decades. During this period, he guided 30 M. Sc. (Ag.) and 20 Ph. D. students in Agricultural Extension. Besides, he was able to bring out about 250 booklets, books, research and popular articles. He was consultant to GOI, UNDP an many other reputed organizations in the country. He was responsible for the initiation of the Society of Extension Education and also Founder Chairman of International Extension Fourm. He has retried on 1996. After his retirement, he formed a Trust to help rural children, farmers and others to uplift their life, in a small way- a small drop in the ocean.

K. Chandrakandan, former Director of Extension Education is presently working as Professor of Agricultural Extension of TNAU, Coimbatore (TN). He has experience of over three decades in the filed extension as well as university extension and research. He is teaching M. Sc. and Ph. D. courses in Extension Education He has guided more than 35 M. Sc., and Ph. D. students and published over 100 research papers and four books. He is a recipient of nine coveted awards and Gold Medals for Best Teacher (PG). Best Extension Research and Best Extension Worker. He has organised many National and International seminars and operated projects sponsored by SIDA, Sweden and IDRAC, Canada. He is the Secretary and Vice-Chairman of the Society of Extension Education and International Extension Forum respectively. He is currently a member of Research Board of Advisors of American Biographical Institute International, U.S.A. Recently, he has been selected for the Fellow of Indian Society of Extension Education.
