About Author :

V. Venkatasubramanian is presently working as Sr. Scientist (Agricultural Extension) and Officer-in-Charge KVK-C.T.R.I., Rajahmundry. He got his master and doctoral degrees in the field of Dairy Extension Education from National Dairy Research Institute (ICAR), Karnal. He acted as a steering committee member in the UNDP Project on Coral Reef Management and served as Editorial Board Member of the Journal of Andaman Science Association. He also served as General Secretary of the Andaman Science Association and organised national level symposiums. He has been awarded with the prestigious Young Scientist Award for the year 1997-98 by the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences, New Delhi. He has also invented banana fibre extraction for the benefit and farming community. His authorship spans to more than 60 research papers, review articles and fourteen books.

S.V.N. Rao is presently working as Professor and Head, Department of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Extension at Rajiv Gandhi College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Pondicherry. He obtained his Master and doctoral degrees from NDRI, Karnal. He underwent training in Extension Management and Farming Systems Research in the Netherlands and U.K. and had experience in working with Indo-Dutch Collaborative project and Indo-UK higher education link programme. He has also guided M.Sc. and Ph.D. students. He has 33 research articles to his credit.

A.K. Singh is Assistant Professor (Agriculture) at North Eastern Regional Institute of Water and Land Management, Tezpur, Assam. He did his M.Sc. from Birsa Agricultural University, Ranchi, and Ph. D. from Visva Bharati Santiniketan. He is a recipient of University Fellowship, Department of Atomic Energy Fellowship and National Agricultural Technology Project Fellowship. He has published 16 research papers in national and international journals of repute and attended several seminars.
