About Author :

K.M. Mohapatra, M.A. (Economics) from Utkal University, and M. Phi. and Ph. D. (Economics) from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, has served as a Lecturer (Economics) in Balavoomi Mahavidyalaya, Avana, from 1982 to 1983, and at U.N. College, Soro, from 1983 to 1985. Since 1989, he has been a regular faculty in Economics at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, H.B.T.I., Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Dr. Mohapatra has a better accomplishment in conducting research projects as Project Director in an ICSSR sponsored project and as a Co investigator in an Indo Canadian Partnership Project sponsored by SICI-CIDA, and also, in supervising PH. D. scholars. He has to his credit publication of a book, entitled Exploitative Tenancy and Technological Backwardness in Indian Agriculture and contribution of chapters to the edited books Managing Environmental Risks, and Detergents and the Environment The Canadian Experience and Indian Scenario. Besides, he has published several research articles in reputed journals such as Economic and Political Weekly, Indian journal of Agricultural Economics and Orissa Economic Journal and research papers in proceedings of many national and international conferences, seminars and symposia.
