About Author :
K.S. Dhindsa is a Professor of Economics at the Punjab School of Economics, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar (India). Dr. Dhindsa has a brilliant career, who after graduating from Punjab University, completed the post-graduate diploma in Economic Development from Glasgow University. Thereafter, he obtained his Master Degree from Leeds University (England). Then he went to London University where he successfully completed his Ph.D. He has authored two books entitled India's Export Performance Some Policy Implications and Indian Immigrants in United Kingdom : A Socio-Economic Analysis. He is also co-editor of a book entitled Dynamics of Agricultural Development (3 volumes). He has published a large number of research papers in national and international journals. For his post-doctorate he went to the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London during 1989-91. He was the editor of Indian Journal of Quantitative Economics, a journal of international development, during 1994-96. He was the Dean of Faculty of Economics and Business during 1992-93 and was Chairman of Punjab School of Economics, Guru Nanak Dev University, during 1994-1996.
Anju Sharma is a lecturer in the Post Graduate Department of Economics, Khalsa College, Amritsar (Punjab). She obtained her M.Phil and Ph.D. (Economics) degrees from Punjab School of Economics, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. She has carried out a variety of research in the field of economics. She has authored a book entitled Dynamics of Cropping Pattern: A Regional Study of Punjab. She is also co-editor of a book Dynamics of Agricultural Development (published in 3 volumes). A dozen of her research papers have already been published in reputed journals.
