About Author :

Sushma Pandey, is a Reader in Psychology at D.D.U. Gorakhpur University, Gorakhpur. Earlier, she has served in the Department of Population Studies, S.V. University, Tirupati. Her areas of interest include Social Psychology, Community Psychology, Cognitive and Developmental Processes. Dr. Pandey has worked extensively in the fields of child abuse, domestic violence, women empowerment, reproductive health, stress and coping. She has published numerous research articles in the national and international journals of repute. She has recently published a book titled, Psychological Consequences of Child Abuse. Dr. Pandey has completed two major research projects entitled, "Social Dynamics of Child Abuse and its Psychological Consequences in Eastern Districts of U.P." and "Psycho-Social Dynamics of Domestic Violence and Its Impact on Children". Also she has completed nine research projects under D.S.A. Programme. Currently, she is working on intervention strategies to prevent child abuse, domestic violence and their consequences.
