About Author :

Ali Mohammad (b. 1946) is a distinguished author and teacher. An M.A. and Ph.D. from the Aligarh Muslim University, his field of specialization is economic geography. As a senior Research Fellow at the Centre of Regional Development, Jawaharlal Nehru University, he has had many opportunities for handling various research projects on the problems of the Indian agricultural development. Dr. Mohammad has to his credit numerous research papers and many books including Situation of Agriculture Food and Nutrition in Rural India (Concept, 1978) and Dynamics of Agricultural Development in India (Concept, 1979). Currently, Dr. Ali Mohammad is a Reader Centre for west Asian Studies, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh.
