About the Book :

The papers included in the first part of this volume on Urban Planning and Policies reflect three issues: the governmental framework for policy making, the substantive content of social policy and the use of new methods for policy analysis. The papers in the second part describe some of the current approaches to the development of practical and workable ways to improve conditions of urban living in diverse settings. The contributors to the volume are experts in their own fields from around the world.
