About the Book :

This festschrift, running into two volumes, attempts to analyse the various aspects of earth system sciences. It presents analytical discourse and multidisciplinary disposition of research vistas in the growth of inter and intra-sub-disciplines of earth sciences, including earthquakes and tectonics, landslide hazards, water resources, petrology and geochemistry, applied geomorphology and terrain studies, and geo environment and climate change. It is of great use to academicians and researchers in the field of earth system sciences.

About Author :

Arun Kumar is Professor and Head, Department of Earth Sciences, Manipur University, Imphal. His research interests are in the fields of natural hazards, remote sensing and GIS. He is the author/editor of two books and has contributed thirty-five research papers.

R.S. Kushwaha is reader in the Department of Earth Sciences, Manipur University, Imphal. His areas of interest are geomorphology, sedimentology and natural hazards. He has contributed more than a dozen research papers.

Baleshwar Thakur is the former Head of the Department of Geography, Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi and former ViceChancellor of Lalit Narain Mithila University, Darbhanga, India.
