About Author :
T. Haque, Distinguish Professor at the Council for Social Development, New Delhi and Chairman, Special Cell on Land Policies, NITI Aayog, Govt. of India is a well known Agricultural Economist. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from Patna University (India) and Post-doctoral training from Iowa State University, Ames, U.S.A. Prior to joining the Council for Social Development, Dr. Haque served as Chairman, Commission for Agricultural Costs and Prices, Government of India, ICAR National Fellow at the National Centre for Agricultural Economics and Policy Research, New Delhi; Director, Council for Social Development, New Delhi and Director, Centre for Agrarian Studies, NIRD, Hyderabad. He also served as consultant to several International organizations, including FAO, ILO and The World Bank. Dr. Haque is author of six books and about 100 research papers and reports. His areas of specialization are land reform, food security and sustainable agriculture and rural development.
