About the Book :

This book entitled Theory of Political Sociology deals with conceptual schemes, theoretical constructs, and models concerning interactions between Society and Politics. It provides preliminary guidelines for enquiring into, and examining the impact of Society on Politics, and also the viceversa. About Author :

S.P. Guru is, at present, emeritus Professor of Political Science at Sambalpur University in the State of Odisha. Born in October 1951, he passed his M.A. in Political Science from Delhi University in 1973 with first-class, and was awarded Ph.D. degree from Sambalpur University in 1990. Professor Guru was a first-class student in all examinations from Matriculation to M.A. and, as such, he is credited with a brilliant academic record throughout his student career. He commenced his professional career as a teacher in Political Science in Sambalpur University, Odisha in 1977, and on rendering 35 years of service as a Post-Graduate University Teacher, and Professor of Political Science, he retired in October 2011 on superannuation. He is a teacher and researcher of national reputation in Political Science.
