About the series
Mental health issues are the burning concern today because they work hard to make an equilibrium in a person. In this series various aspect and dimensions of mental health has been taken and they are classified in four volumes. Volume One deals with psychological issues and interventions regarding mental health. It is followed by the Second Volume in which an exhaustive analysis of the mental health of multi cultural societies has been made. The Third Volume deals with the strengths and resources that facilitate mental health. Fourth Volume is related with psychological treatment and therapeutic exercises used as in mental health promotion programmes. We hope that the series will be appreciated by the researchers, teachers and mental health professionals of psychology.
About the volume
It is the fourth volume of our series and it explains the major therapies and their application in mental health. There are eighteen chapters in this volume. They are review based and/or empirical ones. These articles are very well shaped in this volume. 

About Author :

Anubhuti Dubey is Associate Professor of Psychology at Department of Psychology, DDU Gorakhpur University, Gorakhpur. Her research interest includes Health Psychology, Applied Social Psychology, Gender and health and Counselling. She had published a book entitled “Psychological Perspectives on Chronic Illness”. She had also completed a research project sponsored by ICSSR on “Psychological Dynamics of Health and Illness in Women of Eastern Uttar Pradesh.” She had published 25 research papers in journals of national and international repute and also contributed 11 chapters in different edited volumes. She is also a Master Trainer and Supportive Supervisor for Training HIV/AIDS counsellors under GFATMRound 7 programmes.

Aradhana Shukla is Prof. and former Head Department of Psychology, Kumaun University Campus, Almora Uttarakhand. Currently she is Campus Dean (Arts) at Kumaun University Campus, Almora. She has served in Department of Pediatrics of Banaras Hindu University, Post Doctoral fellow (U.G.C.) at University of Gorakhpur and has been serving here for last 27 years. She has published 100 research papers of national and international repute, ten books in which nine are published by national agencies and one from Germany (LAP). She has carried out 4 major projects from ICSSR and UGC and coworked in UNICEF and GFATMround 7 projects. She has guides 45 Ph.D. students and prepared 26 psychological tests. Her major thrust areas are: developmental psychology, personality psychology, cultural psychology, environmental psychology and mental health care system.
