About Author :
Seema Sahdev is serving as an Associate Professor in Department of Geography at Kalindi College, University of Delhi. Ms. Sahdev did her M.Phil. degree from Delhi University and pursuing her Ph.D. from Jamia Millia Islamia. Ms. Sahdev had worked on the various Administrative Post of the College and organized various awareness programmes related to disaster management for students as well as faculty members. Ms. Sahdev published her research paper in National Geographical Journal of India and Goa Geographers. She has convened one International Conference and one National Seminar related to environment, resource management and sustainable development. Her specialization is in Electoral Geography, Environmental Geography and Geographical Information System (GIS).
Manish Kumar is serving as an Assistant Professor in Department of Geography at Kalindi College, University of Delhi, is professionally a Geographer. From January 2009 to December 2014, Dr. Kumar served as Programme In-Charge of M.Sc. Remote Sensing and GIS Course of Kumaun University, Uttarakhand. Dr. Kumar has worked as Research Associate on UNDP Project on "'Rurbanization': Making Small Towns Hubs of Rural Productivity at Delhi Policy Group." Dr. Kumar has also served as Visiting Faculty at School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi. Dr. Kumar holds a Ph.D. from Kumaun University, Nainital, Uttarakhand. He also holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Remote Sensing and GIS from Indian Institute of Remote Sensing, ISRO, Dehradun, Uttarakhand. His area of research domain includes application of remote sensing and GIS in urban and regional planning, urban heat island, land-use and land cover dynamics, climate change, snow cover dynamics etc.
