About Author :
Shiva Nath Prasad, completed his M.A. in Philosophy from Patna University. After retirement from Government of Bihar, wherein he served in different capacities, started the publication of a bilingual journal of Philosophy, “Abhrant”, as editor. Later, on, the persistent request of scholars of philosophy, he started two unilingual journals entitled ‘Darshan Digdarshan’ in Hindi and the journal of Bihar Philosophical Research, in English. He has authored a book entitled ‘Charvaka/Lokayata an Analytical and Hermeneutic study’ which was published from Janki Prakashan, Patna. Besides, he has edited an anthology entitled ‘Phenomenology Methodological Introduction’ with V.T. Sebestian, Panjab University, Chandigarh.
Avinash Kumar Srivastava, Professor and Head P.G. Dept. of Philosophy, Magadh University Centre, Nalanda College, Biharsharif, completed M. A. from Patna University and Ph. D. from Magadh University, Bodh-Gaya. He was awarded Minor Research Project of U.G.C. on the topic of ‘Adaptable nature of Buddhism’. He has authored two books, ‘Bharatiya Darshan ki Mool Samasyaen and ‘Living Buddhism’. Besides he has edited three anthologies,
Dr. Srivastava is a prolific writer and widely known scholar, with more than forty research papers published in India and abroad. He was Joint Secretary and Secretary of Akhil Bharatiya Darshan Parishad, General Secretary of Bihar Darshan Parishad and Vice President of Indian Society for Buddhist Studies. Besides he is member of editorial board of several research Journals.
