K.E. Rajpramukh obtained degrees of M.A. and Ph.D. in Anthropology from Andhra University. Having taught at many universities, he was also on the Guest Faculty at the University of Hyderabad. He joined the University of Rochester, NY, U.S.A. as a Research Associate in 1988 and pursued his Master Degree in Public Health from the School of Medicine and Dentistry at the same University during 1990 and 1993. He was Chairman, Board of Studies in Anthropology of Andhra University during 1999-2002. He has authored five books including Medical Anthropology, Health, Illness and Healing and Dalit Christians of Andhra with contribution of publishing several research papers in national and international journals of repute.
