Lalita Rana is the Associate Professor in the Department of Geography, Shivaji College, University of Delhi. Especially interested in the History and Philosophy of geography, she has been actively involved in the research and teaching of the subject for the past three decades. Written in simple language, her previous three books, namely, Geographical thought: A Systematic Record of Evolution (2008); Ancient Tradition Geography (2014); and Geographical Thought: Classical to Contemporary (2014) have been widely accepted and well read by the students and researchers alike.
